ERIC SWERDLIN ELECTED TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., August, 8 2005) Delegates at the National Committee on Planned Giving’s Assembly of Delegates unanimously approved the election of Eric Swerdlin to serve as a member of the national Board of Directors. Eric’s three-year-term begins in January of 2006.

Tanya Howe Johnson, NCPG President and CEO, said, “The new board members bring to NCPG a cumulative 90 years of experience in planned giving. Eric Swerdlin’s experience and expertise will enhance an already impressive board of directors, who represent all areas of planned giving — from gift planning technology, to nonprofit, educational and foundation development offices, to for-profit firms.”

Eric Swerdlin is Chief Executive Officer of ChesterCAP, LLC, in Cedar Knolls, New Jersey. Previously, Eric founded and was CEO of Swerdlin White Huber, Inc, (SWH) a firm dedicated to investment management, administration, and program support for planned giving programs at non-profit organizations throughout the country. In 1999 SW was sold to the Bank of New York, where Eric remained and was a Division Head for three years.

The National Committee on Planned Giving® is the professional association for individuals whose work includes developing, marketing, and administering charitable planned gifts. NCPG currently consists of more than 130 councils representing upwards of 11,000 nonprofit fundraisers, and consultants and donor advisors working in a variety of for-profit settings.  The mission of NCPG is to increase the quality and quantity of charitable planned gifts by serving as the voice and professional resource for the gift planning community.
